Kaylee Keumsoon Lee Scholarship Foundation
Kaylee Keumsoon Lee founded the Kaylee Keumsoon Lee Scholarship Foundation with a personal contribution of her assets to the foundation, in July of 2019. From its inception, the foundation’s mission was to provide scholarships to hard-working disadvantaged Korean students studying in America. Kaylee had a lifelong vision to give back to the Korean-American
community by helping Korean students fulfill their dreams through higher education.
Kaylee believes that higher education is of utmost importance for Koreans seeking social mobility. She hopes that this scholarship foundation can encourage future Korean students to fulfill their dreams without the barriers that come with financial scarcity.
Kaylee also created this foundation to generate breast cancer awareness and assist Korean hospitals in need. She is particularly interested in breast cancer because breast cancer is one of the leading causes of death for women and a disease that many women suffer from. She believes that more support and awareness of breast cancer can help mitigate the risk of death from cancer and empower women to fulfill their dreams.
Breast Cancer Awareness
Kaylee Scholarship Foundation has an additional mission of generating breast cancer awareness
and developing breast cancer research. Of all the cancers that afflict women, breast cancer is the
most persistent and common form of cancer that is the leading cause of death for women. In
Korea, the number of breast cancer patients has quadrupled. The Foundation aims to provide aid
to Korean hospitals in need of medical assistance through surgical training, breast reconstruction
training, medical texts, and the most updated research on breast cancer.
